I built a three-part poster series for George Watsky: one for touring, one for his spoken-word/lyric work, and one for his overall persona as an artist. I approached it as two competing identities. Version one is gritty and worn-in, lots of textures, abrasion, physicality. Version two is loud and colorful, almost pop-culture neon. My work sought to answer the question: how do you brand someone who is simultaneously a rapper, a poet, and a storyteller? Which do you like best?
